Spiritual hideout in Bali

by posted in NEWS

Away from the crowds you’ll find Six Senses Uluwatu, Bali set atop a rugged cliff in Pecatu, close to island’s famous temple and namesake, one of six believed to be Bali’s spiritual pillars. Opening this Fall.

Enjoy quintessential Six Senses, on an island that is deeply rooted in tranquility and nature. The 28 sky villas, 62 one-bedroom villas, seven two-bedroom villas and expansive Retreat Villa draw upon the local culture, embrace nature and offer every comfort. The opulent facilities include a vast central pool, gym, event lawn, ballroom and meeting rooms. The resort has its own Balinese temple, giving you a flavor of the true essence of the island’s deep cultural beliefs.

Talking of flavors, the organic garden will grow fresh seasonal produce for the resort’s three restaurants: the Rocka, Crudo and Rocka Edge with Chef’s Table. There will also be a choice of bars: the Cliff Bar at the pool and the signature Rocka Bar.

Set within the resort’s lush gardens, the 100 sq.ft. (9.3 sq.m.) Six Senses Spa Uluwatu, Bali is the place to relax, restore and reenergize while taking in the panoramas out to the Indian Ocean and magnificent sunsets.

In a famed island environment so deeply rooted with wellness, the spa is in its element. Enjoy a complete hand and foot pampering at the Nail Bar, which can be accessed through the arrival lounge. From there you move through to the consultation room where in-house experts and visiting practitioners can offer lifestyle advice and recommend treatments and activities.

There are eight treatment rooms and a relaxation lounge plus two single pavilions on the second floor with a shared bathtub. Floor-to-ceiling windows overlook the surrounding water features and reinforce the connection with nature and its life-renewing energy.

If you’re in the mood to move, head to the fully-equipped fitness center and outdoor fitness circuit, or the outdoor yoga and meditation pavilion for complimentary morning yoga to start the day in the ommm-iest way.
