Celebrate Global Wellness Day on June 9 with Six Senses Spas. We’re offering a range of complimentary health and wellness activities around the world.
This year marks the Seventh Annual Global Wellness Day. More than 4,000 locations in 100 countries will be joining in the celebrations with complimentary wellness activities that honor our health and well-being.
The fundamental purpose of this day is to show that wellness is not a luxury but a necessity: a human right. It’s ok to hit the pause button (even if for just one day) and get away from bad habits and the stresses of modern life. This year, the theme extends to our kids’ well-being. It aims to raise awareness around obesity, depression and crime, while teaching them about self-love to let go of shame and anger. It also focuses on integrating breathing and mindfulness into their day as essential for a happier and more fulfilling life as a grown up.
We have prepared a wide range of complimentary wellness activities for both adults and children. If you’re in the mood to move, we’re offering yoga, tai chi, forest walking and fitness classes. If stillness is more your thing, spend a moment of calm with meditation, massage or a variety of treatments. You can also take part in workshops on healthy eating and botanical alchemy. Depending on the location, enjoy them at sunrise or sunset, on the beach, in the forest or on the jetty. Each spa team has chosen a special location that is just right for evoking a sense of well-being.
The kids can join too through the group’s new framework, Grow With Six Senses, which incorporates six dimensions of wellness into all activities for younger guests such as simple meditation, singing bowl workshops, Vietnamese origami, visits to local schools, tile painting, ceramic decorating and learning some first Arabic words.
