Moving on up

by posted in WELLNESS

New evidence on the benefits of physical activity on the mind and brain continues to fill our screens and newspapers every month. But don’t sweat it; keeping healthy and happy is no longer just the domain of Lycra-clad gym bunnies!

It’s exercise, but not as you know it. Why not take flight during a session of aerial yoga to improve flexibility, focus and strength. Stay grounded with mindful movement or tai chi. Release strains and aches with restorative training sessions. Get the adrenaline pumping and muscles flexing with a high intensity workout on the beach. Or simply take time out and release some endorphins on natural trail walk.

We also offer many activities to help your kids discover their unique way of movement such as the water polo and swim relay at Six Senses Zighy Bay, cycling or kick-boxing at Six Senses Yao Noi, dancing competitions at Six Senses Ninh Van Bay and tree climbing at Six Senses Douro Valley.

Studies show that children playing in open nature engage more in fantasy play, which nurtures their creativity and inventiveness – and it doesn’t do you any harm either! So take your kids on some of our magical walking trails and trekking adventures, let them learn all about survival skills with our team of experts, explore the flora and sauna around the resort or immerse them in local culture to enhance their well-being.

Take this opportunity to reconnect with yourself, your loved ones and discover new perspectives on the world around you. Squats and ab crunches optional.
